Chapter :82

Al-Infitar – The splitting apart

Total verses :19

As the first verse of this chapter mentions  about the  ‘splitting of the heaven’ it is named ‘Al-Infitar’.

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

1 .When the heaven507 splits apart.

2 .And when the stars fall scattered.

3 .And when the seas are boiled.

4 .And when the graves are turned up-side down.

5 .A person will know what he has sent in advance and that he has left behind.

6 .O man, What has deceived you in the matter of your God, the most Noble.

7 .It is He who created you, shaped you and proportioned you.

8 .He shaped you in the form He wanted.

9 .But, you consider the Day of judgement  a lie.

10,11. And indeed, there are above you observers who are honourable writers26.

12 .They know what ever you do.

13 .Indeed, righteous will be in happiness.

14 .And indeed, sinners will be in hell.

15 .They will char on the Day1 of judgement.

16 .And they will not disappear from that.

17 .And (O Muhammad), how do you know what is meant by the Day1 of judgement?

18.Then, how do you know, what is meant by the Day1 of judgement?

19 .On that day, no one can do good to any one  even to a little. The power on the day is only with Allah.

Chapter :81

At- Takwir ‘rolled up

Total verses: 29

As  the first verse of this chapter mentions the words ‘The sun shall be rolled up’, it is named ‘At-takweer’.

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

1 .When the sun is rolled-up.

2 .And when the stars fall.

3 .And when the mountains are displaced

4 .And when the pregnant camels are left neglected.

5 .And when the animals are gathered to-gether.

6 .And when the seas are lit with fire.

7 .And when the souls are joined again (with the bodies).

8,9 .And when the female who is buried alive487 is enquired for what sin she was killed26.

10 .And when the sheets are spread.

11 .And when the heaven507 is removed.

12 .And when the hell is burnt.

13 .And when the paradise is brought near.

14 .A person will know what he has sent forth in advance.

15,16. I swear379 by the stars which are partially hidden and by the disappearing stars26.

17 .And by the retreating night379.

18 .And by the dawn379 as it brightens.

19 .Indeed, this is the word of the honourable messengers (Gibrail).492

20 .He is powerful and has authority with the Owner of ‘Arsh’

21 .He is the leader of the angels and trustworthy there.

22 .And your companion is not mad468.

23 . And he saw ‘Gibrail’ clearly in the horizon.

24 .And he (Muhammad) will not show stinginess in the hidden.

25 .And this is not the word of the expelled ‘Shaitan’.

26 .Where are you going?

27,28. Indeed, this is nothing but an advice for the people of the worlds and to whoever  among you , who wants to act in the right (way).

29 .And you do not wish except that which Allah wills.   

Chapter :80

‘Abasa – He Frowned

Total verses:42

As the first verse of the chapter mentions the word ‘Abasa, it is named ‘Abasa.

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

1,2. He frowned because the blind man came168 to him. He ignored (him).26

3 .(O Muhammad), how do you know that he may be pure?

4 .Or he may receive the teaching. That teaching may benefit him.

5,6. You go  voluntarily to the one who turns away26.

7 .And if he does not become pure, there is no (blame) on you.

8,9,10. You turn away from the one who run towards you fearing God.26

11 .Not so, Indeed this is an advice.

12 .Whoever wants will learn a lesson.

13,14,15,16. This is in the valuable sheet461of record which is purified and exallted. It is in the hands of the good writers who are noble.26

17 .Man is cursed. How ungrateful he is?

18 .From what thing did (God) create him?

19 .He created him from the drop of semen and fixed (the fate) for him.

20 . Then He made the way easy for him.

21 .Then He causes him to die and sends him to grave.

22 .Then, He will raise him when He wants.

23 .Not so, He has not fulfilled what (God) has ordered?

24 .Let the man look at his food.

25 .Indeed, it is We who poured water (from the heaven).

26.Then We split the earth properly.

27,28,29,30,31,32. And We caused to grow in it; grain, grapes, herbs, olive trees, date-palm, dense gardens, fruits and fodder, for the benefit of you and your cattle.26

33,34,35,36. When the sound occurs on that day, he will run away leaving his brother, his mother, his father, his wife and his children.26

37 .On that day, for every man, there is a matter which will completely engage him.

38 .On that day, some faces, will be bright.

39 .Laughing with happiness.

40 .And on that day, dust will be settled on some faces.

41 .Darkness will cover them.

42 .Those are the disbelieveng evil-doers.

Chapter :79

An-Nazi’at – Those who seize.

Total verses:46

As the first verse of this chapter mentions about the as who seize the soul, it is named ‘An-Nazi’at’.

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

1 .By the promise on those who seize with violence.

2 .And by the promise on those who seize with ease.

3,4,5. And by the promise on those who swim along, those who over-take and those who administer affairs26.

6 .The day, the occurance of the great shaking (due to the blowing of the ‘Sur’)

7 .The next will follow it.

8 .On that day, certain minds will be trembling.

9 .Its sights  remain humbled.

10 .They ask, “Will we indeed be raised from graves?”

11 .Even after becoming decayed bones?

12 .They say, “Then it is only a return causing loss.”

13 .Indeed, it will be but one soul.

14 .And at once, they will stand in the open space.

15 . (O Muhammad), has the news about Musa reached you?

16 .His God called him in the sacred valley of ‘Tuva’.

17 .You go to Firaun. Indeed, he has transgressed.

18,19. And ask, “Have you the desire to be purified? I guide the way towards your God. Fear (Him).”

20 .And He showed him a very great sign.

21 .He sinned considering it a lie.

22 .Then he retraced quickly.

23 .And gathered the people and declared.

24 .And He said, “I am the greatest God.”

25 .Allah  seized him with torment in this world and in the Hereafter.

26 .Indeed, there is a lesson for the righteness (of God).

27 .Are you a difficult creation or the heaven?507

28 .He raised the roof and fastioned it.

29 .And covered the night and showed the day.

30 .And He spread the earth.

31 .From it He brought forth the water for it and grazing pastu

32.And fixed the mountains as pegs24

33. (He made them) amenities of life for you and for your cattle

34,35. Man will think about what he has done on that day when the greatest calamity occurs26.

36 .And the Hell will be exposed (near) to those who see.

37,38,39. Indeed, for him the home is Hell, whoever transgressed and selected this wordly life26.

40, 41. Indeed, whoever feared standing before his God and kept himself  away from the inclination, (for him) Paradise is the home26.

42 . (O Muhammad), they ask about the time, to you, “When will it occur?.”

43 .Where do you have the explanation about it?

44 .Its end is only with your God.

45 .Indeed, you are only a warner for those who fear it.

46 .When they see it, it will seem as though they had not lived except for an evening or a morning.

Chapter :78

An-naba – That News

Total verses: 40

As the second verse of this chapter mentions the word ‘That News’, it is named ‘An-naba’.

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

1 .About what do they raise question?

2,3. About the great news over which they have disagreement26.

4 .Not so, they will know.

5 .Not so again, they will know.

6,7. Have We not made the earth (as) a cradle284 and the mountains pegs248.26

8 .And We created you in pairs.

9 .And made your sleep as a rest.

10 .And made the night a garment.

11 .And made the day a period for livelihood.

12 .And built over you seven strong (heavens).

13 .And also fixed a bright lamp.

14,15,16. And sent down, from the dark rain clouds, abundant water in order to bring forth grain, vegetation and dense gardens.

17 .Indeed, the Day1 of judgement is a fixed one.

18 .You will come in many groups on the day the ‘Sur’ is blown.

19 .And the heaven507 will be opened and it will become(form) many gates.

20 .And the mountains will be displaced and will become a mirage.

21,22. Indeed, the hell is awaiting as the home for the transgressors26.

23 .Stay there for ages.

24 .They will not taste there either coolness or(cool) drink.

25 .Except boiling water and purulence.

26 .This is the reward in accordance with the deed.

27 .Indeed, they were disbelievers of the enquiry.

28 .And they consider Our verses altogether  a lie.

29 .We have recorded every thing in writing.

30 .Taste it.Will not increase anything except torment.

31,32,33,34. Indeed, for the righteous remain a plan of success (paradise) gardens, grape-vine yard, gorgeous maidens of equal age8 and filled goblets26.

35 .There, they will not hear either vain thing or lie.

36 .(O Muhammad), this is the calculated reward given from your God.

37 .He is the God, the most Merciful, of the heavens, the earth and whatever between them. They will not be able to speak with Him.

38.The Day when the Rooh444 and the angels will stand row on row, no one shall speak except those who granted permission by the Most Merciful and the one who tells the truth.

39 .This is the true Day1. Let whoever wants  take his home with His God.

40 .Indeed, We warn you of the torment which is near. On that day, man will see the deed done by him. The disbeliever (of only one God) will say, “Should I not have  become dust?”

Chapter :77

Al-Mursalat – The wind that is sent forth

Total verses :50

As the first verse of this chapter mentions ‘The wind that is sent forth’, it is named ‘Al-Mursalat’.

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

1,2 . By the (winds which are) sent forth continously (one after another) and by the storm which blows violently26.

3,4. And by those which spread and by those which separate completely26.

5,6. And by those which (winds) deliver a lesson either as forgiveness or as warning26.

7. Indeed, what you are warned will occur.

8. The stars lose their brightness.

9. And when the heaven507 is split.

10. And when the mountains are blown away.

11. And when the time is fixed for the messengers (it will occur).

12. For what day (they) are delayed?

13. For the Day1 of judgement.

14. And do you know what is meant by the Day1 of judgement?

15. And on that day1, woe for those who considered it a lie.

16. Have We not destroyed the forefathers?

17. Have We not made descendants to follow them?

18. Thus, We treat the sinners.

19. And on that day, woe for those who considered it a lie.

20. Have we not created you from an insignificant water?

21,22. And have We not kept it safely for a fixed period?

23 .And we only determined. We are the Best in determinig.

24 .And, on that day1 woe to those who considered it a lie.

25,26. Have We not made the earth a shelter for those who are alive and (those who are) dead26?

27. And we established elevated pegs on it248. We gave you to drink sweet water.

28. And on that Day1, woe to those who considered it a lie.

29, 30. You proceed towards that which you considered a lie. You walk towards the shade which has three branches26.

31 .That will not give shade. It will not save from the fire.

32 . Indeed, that will throw flaming torches like fortress.

33 . That will be like yellow coloured camels in colour.

34 . And on that Day1, woe to those who considered it a lie.

35 . This is a Day1, they cannot speak.

36 . And they will not be permitted to give any excuse.

37 . And on that Day1, woe to those who considered it a lie.

38 . This is the Day1 of judgement. We gather you and your forefathers together.

39 . If you have a plot, plot it against Me.

40 .And, on that Day1, woe to those who considered it a lie.

41 . Indeed, the righteous will remain in the shades and the springs.

42 . And they will be with the fruits, they want.

43 . (It will be said), “Eat and drink happily for what you had been doing.”

44 . Indeed, thus We reward those who did good.

45 . And, on that Day1, woe to those who considered it a lie.

46 . You eat for a short period. Enjoy (yourselves). Indeed, you are sinners.

47 . And, on that Day1, woe to those who considered it a lie.

48 . And when it is said to them to do ‘rukuh’ they will do ‘rukuh’.

49 . And, on that Day1, woe to those who considered it a lie.

50 . After that, in what news will they believe?

Chapter : 76

Al-Dah’r – The  time

Total verses :31

As the first verse of this chapter mentions the word ‘The time’ it is named ‘Al-Dahr’

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

1 . Has there not been a time for the man, when he could not even be mentioned specifically as a thing?

2 . We created man from the mixed drop of semen in order to test the man.484 We made him hearer and seer207.

3 . We showed him the right way. He has been either grateful or ungrateful.

4 . Indeed, for the disbelievers (of Us) We have prepaired chains, shackles and hell.

5 . Indeed, the good will drink from the goblet. Comphor will be mixed in it.

6 . (It is) a spring. The servants of Allah will drink from it. They will get it from where they remain.

7 . They will fulfil their vows. They will fear the Day1 in which evil spread.

8.And they will feed the poor, orphan and the imprisoned because they loved them.

9. (Saying), “Indeed, we feed you for the love of Allah. We do not expect any reward or gratitude from you.”

10. Indeed, fear  our God, from the day1which is filled with severity and distress.”

11. So, Allah saved them from the harm of that Day1. He gave them radiance and happpiness.

12. And He gives them paradise and silk as they have been patient.

13. There, they will recline on high raised couches. They will not see the sun and  severe cold.

14. And the shades WIll be nearer to them. Its fruits will be hanging very low.

15. And vessels and goblets of crystal will be passed around them.

16. They are silver like goblets made of crystals . They will plan and arrange them.

17. And They will be given to drink from the goblets. Ginger will be mixed in it.

18. They will be given to drink from the spring ‘Salsabeel.’ 

19. And boys of everlasting youth will go around them. If you see them you will consider them  scattered pearls.

20. And when you see, you will see the luxurious pleasure and a great kingdom.

21. Upon them, will be green coloured silk called ‘Sundus’ and the silk called ‘Istabraq’. They will be adorned with silver bracelets. Their God will give them to drink a pure drink.

22. (O Muhammad), indeed, it is We who revealed this Quran gradually447.

24. So, wait for the order of your God. Do not obey, from among them, either a sinner or a disbeliever (of only one God).

25. And (O Muhammad), mention the name of your God,  morning and evening.

26. And do sajda at night. Glorify Him a long (part of) night.

27. Indeed, they love this world. They leave (ignore) the difficult Day1(which will) come after them.

28. And it is we who created them. We strengtherned their organisation. If We want We will replace them with others like them.

29. Indeed, this is an advice. Whoever wants will make a way towards his God.

30. You do not want except what Allah wants. Indeed, Allah is knowing and wise.

31. He admits in His mercy whom He wants. He has prepared a painful torment for the unjust.

Chapter :75

Al- Qiyamah – The Day of resurrection

Total verses: 40

As the first verse of this chapter mentions the word ‘Qiyamah’, it is named ‘Al-Qiyamah’.

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

1. I swear on the Day of ‘Qiyamah’.

2. And I swear on the mind which has been accusing (finding fault).

3. Does he think that We will not gather together the bones of the man?

4. Not so, We possess the power to set right (even) his finger tips208.

5. But the man wants to continue in sin before him (God).

6. He asks, “When is the day of resurrection?”

7,8,9,10. On that Day, when the vision becomes fixed, eclipse occurs to moon, the sun and the moon are joined together, the man will ask, “Where is the place to flee (run in fear)?”26

11 . Not so, There is no place of escape.

12 . On that day the dwelling place will be with Allah alone.

13 . On that day, the man will be informed about, that he sent forward and that he had left behind.

14 ,15. Rather, man has the knowledge about himself. Though he gives excuses26.

16 . (O Muhammad), do not hasten to move your tongue for this(to memorise Quran)152 & 312.

17 . Indeed, it is upon Us to gather and make (you) recite it.

18 . So, when We recite it you follow the recitation152, 312.

19 .Then it is upon Us to explain (make it clear) .

20 . Not so. Rather, you like this world.

21 . You leave the hereafter.

22 . On that day. Certain faces will be radiant.

23 . It will be looking at their God488.

24 . On that day, certain faces will be sad.

25 . They will think that a great danger will occur to them.

26, 27. Not so, when the soul had reached the pit of the throat it will be said, “Who is the charmer?”21.

28 . And he will know, “That is the separation.”

29. And the legs will be twisted with (other) leg.

30. On that day, (you) will be dragged to your God.

31 . And he neither believed nor prayed.

32 . Rather, turned away consideing it a lie.

33 . And then, he went with his family boastfully.

34 . Come near to you. Still nearer.

35 . Then still it has come near to you. Still more it has come nearer.

36 .Does he think he will be left empty?

37 .Was he not a drop of ejaculated semen?

38 .Then he became a conceived egg365. Then (God) created and shaped him.

39 .And He made437 a pair of male and female from him.

40 .Is not such (a God) posseses the power to give life to the dead?
