Chapter :98

Al-Bayyinah – A clear sign

Total verses :98

As the first verse of the chapter mentions the word ‘Al-Bayyinah’ it is named ‘Al-Bayyinah’.

 In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

1 .Those who disbelieved (only one God) among the people of the Book²⁷ and those who associate others (With God) had been continued to remain in wrong till the clear signs came to them.

2 .He is the messenger of Allah. He recited pure scriptures.⁴⁶¹

3 .There are right laws in it.

4 .Those who were given the Book²⁷ did not become divided until after, there came to them clear evidence.

5 .And there was no order given to them except to worship Allah, making the worship unpolluted to Allah alone, to stand firm, to establish prayer and to give Zakath. This is the right religion.

6 .indeed, those who disbelieve among the people of the Book²⁷ and those who associate others (to God) will remain in it forever. They are the worst of the creation.

7 .Indeed, those who have believed and done good deeds are the best of the creation.

8 .Their reward from their God is the  gardens of paradise. Beneath them rivers flow.They will remain in it forever, permanently. Allah was pleased with them. They were also pleased with Him. This is for those who fear God.

Chapter :97

Al-Qadr – Magnificence

As the first verse of the chapter mentions the word ‘Al-qadr’ it is named ‘Al-qadr’.

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

1 .Indeed,We revealed it in the Magnificent Night.⁴⁴⁷

2 .And, how is it known to you, what the Magnificent Night is?

3 .The Magnificent Night is better than a thousand months.

4 .The angels and the ‘Ruh’⁴⁴⁴ descend by the order of their God on every matter, in it.

5 .Peace will prevail until the dawn.

Chapter :96

Al-Alaq –Zygote (The leech like substance)

As the second verse of the chapter mentions the word ‘Al-Alaq’ it is named ‘Al-Alaq’.

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

1 .(O Muhammad), recite²⁶¹ in the name of your God, who created.

2 .He created man from zygote (leech-like substance).

3 .Recite, your God is the most Generous.

4 .It is He who taught with the pen.

5 .Taught man that which he knew not.

6,7. Not so, indeed the man transsgresses because he considered that he is self-sufficent²⁶.

8 .Indeed, the return is only to your God.

9,10. Have you not seen the one who forbids the servant who prays?²⁶.

11,12,13. Have you observed that he denied and turned away from him, who remains in the righy way or enjoining righteousness?²⁶.

14 .Does he not know that Allah Sees?

15 .Not so, We will seize his forehead if he does not leave(stop)?

16 .That is a sinning and lying fore-head.⁴²⁶

17 .Let him call his associates.

18 .We will call the guards of hell.

19 .So, do not obey him. Do ‘Sajdah’ and get close³⁹⁶.

Chapter :95

At-Teen – The fig

Total verses: 8

As the first verse of the chapter mentions the word ‘At-Teen’ it is named ‘At-Teen’.

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

1 .By³⁷⁹ the fig and by the olive.

2 .And by³⁷⁹ the mount ‘Toor-seeneen’ .

3 .And by³⁷⁹ the city³⁴ which gives refuge.

4 .Indeed, We created man in the best shape.

5 .Then, We made him the lowest of the low.

6 .Except those who believed and did righteous deeds, For them there is everlasting-reward.

7 .How can you deney the Day¹ of judgement after this?

8 .Is not Allah the best of Judges?

Chapter: 94

Ashrah – The expansion

Total verses:8

As the first verse of the chapter mentions the word ‘Ash-shrah’, it is named ‘Ash-shrah’.

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

1 .Have We not expanded your mind?

2,3. And (O Muhammad), We removed from you, your burden which has been breaking your back²⁶.

4 .And, We raised your fame high.

5 .Indeed, the difficulty is only with ease.

6 .Indeed, the difficulty is only with ease.

7 .So, you prepare (youself) after taking rest.

8 .And,place your love on your God.

Chapter :93

Al-Dhuha – The fore-noon

Total verses: 11

As the first verse of the chapter mentions the word ‘Al-dhuha’ it is named Al-dhuha’.

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful

1 .By³⁷⁹ the forenoon.

2 .And by³⁷⁹ the night when it moves away.

3 .(O Muhammad), your God neither forsaken you nor hated you.

4 .And the hereafter is better for you than this world.

5 .And (O Muhammad), your God will give you. you will be satisfied.

6 .Did He not give refuge when He found you as an orphan?

7 .And He guided you (when) He found you unaware of the (right) way⁸¹.

8 .And He made you self-sufficient (when) He found you in poverty.

9 .So, do not oppress the orphans.

10 .And do not drive way the petitioner.

11 .And report the bounty of your God.

Chapter :92

Al-Lail – The Night

Total verses:21

As the first verse of the chapter mentions the word ‘Al-Lail’, it is named Al-Lail’.

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

1 .By³⁷⁹ the night which covers it(self)

2 .And by³⁷⁹ the day which shines.

3 .And by³⁷⁹ His creation of men and women

4 .Indeed, your effort is many sided.

5,6,7. We will make the way of comfort easy for him,  whoever gives (charity to others), fears (God)and testifies the good²⁶.

8,9,10. We will make the way difficult for him, whoever is stingy, consideres himself free of need and refuses to believe in good²⁶.

11 .And when he falls, his wealth will not save him.

12 .Indeed, the right way is Ours.

13 .And Indeed, the hereafter and this world is Ours.

14 .I warn you of the blazing fire.

15 .Nobody except the wretched will char in it.

16 .He had denied and turned away.

17 .The righteous will be moved from it.

18 . He has purified(himself) by giving his wealth(in charity).

19,20. And he will not have any returnable debt of favour to any one, except seeking the face of his God,the most High.²⁶

21 .And he will be satisfied.

Chapter: 91

As-shams – the sun

Total verses: 15

As the first verse of the chapter mentions the word ‘As-shams’, it is named ‘As-shams’

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

1 .By the sun and its brightness.³⁷⁹

2 .And by the moon which follows it.³⁷⁹

3 .And by the day which displays it.³⁷⁹

4 .And by the night which covers it(self).³⁷⁹

5 .And by the heaven⁵⁰⁷ and by  its  arrangement.³⁷⁹

6 .And by the earth and by its expanse.³⁷⁹

7 .And by the soul and He who shaped it.³⁷⁹

8 .And inspired its good and the bad.

9 . The one, who purified it, has succeded.

10 .And the one, who spoiled it, has failed.

11 .The people of Tamud denied because of their transgression.

12 .The most wretched in it came forward.

13 .Allah’s messenger told them, “This is the camel of Allah. Allow it to drink the water.”

14 .They considered him a lie. They cut the veins of its leg. Their God sent down torment on them and levelled them(to the ground) because of their sins.

15 .And he did not fear the end.
