261. Refuting religious allegiance orally under duress.

Verse (16:106) says if one utters words detrimental to his belief in God under duress it will be forgiven. 

There is no place in Islam to bend, to double speak, or to follow wrong ideology for trivial benefits. 

But can a person who is well entrenched in belief in God utter words against his belief to save himself from being killed. The answer is Yes. This verse says so.

This verse guides us to save ourselves and our property in situations like riots where one under duress can utter words though orally against his belief which will be forgiven by the Almighty..
