276. No age limit prescribed to be a messenger of God.

These two verses (19:12, 19:30) of the Quran talk of two who were accorded prophethood while very young.

Some Muslim scholars give an undue importance to the age of 40, saying revelation of scripture and according prophethood is done only at that age. These verses are a strong rebuttal to such thinkers. 

These verses are proof to show there is no connection between according prophethood and age of the person.
