Chapter : 55

Ar- Rahman – The most Beneficent

Total verses : 78

As the first verse of the chapter mentions the word ‘Ar-Rahman’ it is named ‘Ar-Rahman’

In the name of Allah the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.

1,2. The most Merciful taught the Quran.26

3 . Created the man.

4 . He taught him the talent of interpretation.

5 . The sun and the moon move as calculated.

6 . And the trees and the herbs prostrate (Him).

7, 8, 9. And He raised the heaven high. He also established the balance in order that you should not trangress in weighing, to establish the weight honestly and there should not to reduction in the weight.

10 . And He laid out the earth for the humanbeings.

11, 12. There are fruits, date-palms with sheathed stalks, grain, covered with husk and flowers with fragrance.26

13. Which of the favours of your God do you consider lie?

14. He created the man from the baked clay like an utensil (made) of clay.368

15. And He created Jinn from the flame of fire.

16. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

17. (He) is the God of two Eastern directions and the God of two Western directions.335

18. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

19. He has arranged the two seas to meet.

20. There is a barrier between the two. One will not over-take the other.

21. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

22.pearl and coral come-forth from the two.

23. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

24. And to Him belongs the ships sailing high in the sea like mountains.

25. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

26. Whoever who remain here will be destroyed.

27. And only the face of your God, who is the most Noble and Honourable, will remain.

28. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

29. Those who are in the heavens and in the earth beg seek Him. He is engaged in activity every day.

30. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

31. O you two respectable races (humanbeings and Jinns). We will assign time for you.

32. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

33. O the races of the humanbeings and the Jinns if you have the power to cross-over the edges of the heavens and the earth then cross. You will not cross-over except with the power.304

34. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

35.(on the last day ) you will be sent(chased by) the flame of fire and smoke (against you). Then you will not be helped.

36. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

37.And when the heaven splits it will become red like oil.

38. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

39. On that day, there will not be any necessity to enquire either the  humanbeings or the Jinns about their sins.

40. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

41. The sinners will be known by their marks. Their fore-heads and the feet will be seized.

42. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

43.This is the hell which the sinners considered a lie.

44. They will wander between it and the boiling water.

45. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

46. There are two gardens of paradise to those who feared to stand before God.

47. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

48. They have dense branches.

49. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

50. Two springs will gush forth in both of them.

51. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

52 . In both of them there are two varieties of every fruit.

53. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

54. They will  recline in the mats. Its inside is made of ‘Istabraq’ a variety of silk . The fruits of the two gardens of paradise will be (hanging) lower.

55. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

56. There will be virgins who keep their eyes lower (modest)8.Before them, neither any humanbeing nor any Jinn has touched them

57. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

58. They will be white pearl and coral .

59. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

60. Is there any other reward except good for the good.

61. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

62. There are two other gardens, other than those.

63. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

64. (They) are dark green.

65. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

66. For both of them there are gushing springs .

67. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

68. In both of them there are fruits, dates and pomegranate.

69. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

70. There also remain exceptional beautiful women.

71. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

72. They are virgins called ‘Hur’8, kept in the tents.

73. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

74. Before them neither a humanbeing nor a Jinn has touched them.

75. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

76. They will be reclining in the green-coloured carpets and beautiful couches.

77. Which of the favours of your God do you consider a lie?

78. The name of your, who is the most High and honourable, is blessed.
