22. Was Mount Thor raised?

In the following verses (2:63, 2:93, 4:154), it has been said that God undertook a covenant with the people of Israel (2:63, 2:93, 4:154), and raised Mount Thor. Some ascribe various other meanings instead of taking it in the direct context. We need to take the meaning in the direct context. The sentences in the Quran 7:171 ’We plucked Mount Thor’ ‘It hung like a cloud above’ ‘And they were scared that it may fall on them’ should not be misunderstood and wrongly quoted. It is a very easy task for God to raise a mountain.
