455. Who was sacrificed as per the Bible. 

Muslims believe of the two sons Ismail and Ishaque of Prophet Ibrahim, he came forward to sacrifice Ismail as commanded by Allah. This is being said in the verses (11:71,37:102) of the Quran.

This has been explained in the 223^rd point of this compilation. 

But this version of the event has been refuted by the Christians who claim the other son Ishaque was sacrificed instead, as narrated in the Bible. There is a need to clarify this claim by them and arrive at the truth. 

Though it was mentioned in the Bible originally Ismail is the one who was led to the altar for sacrifice, this was later changed to Ishaque to add importance to Prophet Isa because of the lineage that leads the family tree to Prophet Isa, and the family lineage of Ismail leads to Prophet Muhammad. The people who changed the contents of the Bible did it with the ulterior motive, the change would add significance to Prophet Isa because of his family tree lineage with Ishaque, and if Ismail is mentioned as found originally in the Bible these people who made the change were wary of the significance, it would bring to Prophet Muhammad. The priests have used their prowess in the Bible and brought change. People who read the Bible with keen attention would themselves figure out the truth.

Genesis 22:1,2. [1] After these things God tested Abraham, and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here am I." [2] He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Mori'ah, and offer him there as a burnt offering upon one of the mountains of which I shall tell you." 

Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.” 

This is the only proof the Christians cite as present in the Bible to claim Isac was the one who was sacrificed.

Though it has been claimed Isac was the one that has been sacrificed, an epithet has been used to refer to him as ‘only one’.

Had Abraham had only one son at that particular period then it is appropriate to use the epithet ‘only son’.

This could be said only when Issaac happens to be the elder son, but when Ismail was the elder of the two, Issaac cannot be called the ‘only son’ because of the presence of Ismail along with him.

Only the eldest of the two could be termed as the ‘only son’.

Let ‘s take a look at the following verse: 

When Hagar delivered baby Ismail, Abraham was eighty six years old.

When Abraham was circumcised when he was 99 years old.

And when his son was circumcised he was 13 years old.

Abraham and his son Ismail were circumcised the same day. 

Genesis 17:24,25 

Abraham circumcised his son Isaac on the eighth day after his birth as commanded by the Almighty.

Abraham was 100 years old when his son Isaac was born.

Genesis :21 

We come to know from the above Veres, that Ismail was born to Abraham at the age of eighty-six, and Isaac was born for him at the age of 100, (i.e.,) Isaac was fourteen years younger to Ismail.

Ismail remained the only son of Abraham for fourteen years. Isaac was never the only son for Abraham at any point of time and can never be. Hence, they have deliberately concealed the fact that Ismail is the only son and replaced it with Issaac at the same time forgetting to delete the word ‘only son’ exposing themselves is confirmed.

Hence the one who was led to be sacrificed is Ismail is confirmed here, and at the same time this was concealed by the Christians for the reason it would add significance to Prophet Muhammad because of his leagacy. They cannot also justify their argument because Ismail was born of a slave, he cannot claim the status of a son to Abraham, since the following words of the Bible clearly state Ismail and Issaac both are sons of Abraham. 

Genesis 25:99His sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah near Mamre, in the field of Ephron son of Zohar the Hittite,

454. Separating from an immoral wife. 

When a man is accused of immoral behaviour, the person who accuses the man should present four witnesses to substantiate his claim, the failure to provide so would entail a punishment of eighty whiplashes for the accuser, is the Islamic jurisprudence. But verses 24:6-9 specify the action to be taken against a husband who fails to prove his allegations along with for witnesses about the immoral behaviour of the wife. A husband who cannot provide four witnesses to prove his allegations against the wife should take vow in the name of the Almighty four times, and the fifth time he should make a plea to God seeking God’s wrath on him, if the allegation were false. Following which the wife should make a vow four times in the name of the Almighty in refuting the allegations. And for the fifth time make a plea for God’s wrath on her if she was false in refuting the same. These are the details of the above cited verses of the Quran. Immediately on execution of these acts the marital relations between the two are cut, and they cannot live together any more. And if the husband disowns the child, she has given birth to, would be handed over to her. and the child will not be considered as his any more, and is the legal heir of the mothers properties and can’t lay claim to the properties of the father.

As per evidences provided below: 

A man visited Prophet Muhammad and asked, Oh! Messenger of Allah, Can a man kill the person who was seen in a compromising position with his wife? In case the person has been killed by the husband, would the husband be subjected to retaliatory killing by you? And, what is the other option left in his case? It was at this time the Li’an law was revealed, and Prophet Muhammad said to the person a verdict has been delivered in the case between his wife and the man. Then the person and his wife undertook vows as per the Li’an law and got separated. I was there at that time with Prophet Muhammad during this incidence. From that day onwards the incident became the model for separation between a man and a woman. At that point of time she was pregnant, and the husband refused to accept the unborn child as his, and the child when born was called the son of the mother (the woman’s name) instead of the man’s name. (Later, law of inheritance as per Islamic jurisprudence was revealed enabling the child to get his share of inheritance.

Book :Bukhari, 4746, 4748 

Sayeed Bin Zubair (R.A) said: 

‘I asked Ibn Umar ‘What is the law on a person who accuses another of immoral sex’, to that Ibn Umar replied, Prophet Muhammad separated a couple belonging to the clan of Banu Ajlan, in the following way: He said Allah is very well aware either of the you two is a liar which would one of you would realize your mistake and ask for forgiveness from the Almighty and turn towards Him? Immediately both of them refused. Prophet Muhammad repeated the same question three more times only to be refused by the couple again and again. Then the prophet separated the couple.

One of the narrators of this hadith Ayyub (Rah) tells Amr Bin Deenar (Rah), ‘you failed to mention a certain thing Syeed Bin Zubair has pointed out’. The message is about the fate of the Mahar given by the man.           The reply to this question was ‘the Mahar that was given by him squares off with the sexual relation he had enjoyed with the women as long the accusation is found to be true. In case the accusation was found to be untrue, the wealth that he has presented as Mahar is removed far from him for the reason he enjoyed the women and on top of this accused the woman falsely.

If the husband does not wish to expose her and seek separation from her, this can be done by all means. 

Or if the husband wishes to forgive her, the right rests with him.

453. Paradise to be destroyed and recreated on earth.

These verses (14:48, 21:104, 39:67) of the Quran talk of the destruction of the heavens and earth to be recreated again as new. This gives rise to a question whether heaven and hell are to be destroyed.

 There are hadiths that declare of Prophet Muhammad having witnessed the Paradise on his Mehraj journey. From these hadiths it comes to be known that paradise has already been created and is located in the heavens.

And from the declaration in the Quran, about the martyrs being immediately allowed to enter the paradise and remain there in green colored cages, confirms the paradise has already been created.

But at the time of destruction of the world, the heavens, the earth, the paradise and hell, will also be destroyed and created afresh. This is the way of Almighty God. Creating and destroying the same is portrayed as the exclusive attribute of the Almighty is pointed by Him.

A man would think after having purchased something whether he would be able to buy a new one if it is destroyed, or he would think of the difficulties he would face in obtaining new one, but the Almighty who creates by just a command ‘Be’ and it comes into being does not have to face any such difficulty in recreating things and living organisms is proudly declared by Him in verses (10:4, 10:34, 27:64, 29:19, 30:11, 30:27, 85:13) of the Quran. 

From the above verses we come to understand the world would be turned to its initial stages when there was nothing and Allah would recreate the same again from scratch. We do not find any exception anywhere, in the case of paradise.

Though Paradise has been created already, the same would be destroyed and recreated is the right message conveyed here and, this is the destination of the paradise dwellers. Verses (14:48, 21:104) of the Quran talk about the destruction of the earth and heavens when the world is destroyed all together.

The message that the heavens will be destroyed conveys paradise faces the same fate, and the message that the heaven will be recreated says about the fate of the paradise.

Verses (3:133, 57:21) of the Quran also mention the size of the paradise to be multifold when compared to its counterpart in the heavens. We come to understand from the above, the paradise in the heavens at the moment is quite different from the one yet to be created that includes the heavens and the earth.

We are aware of the fact that after the decimation of the world, all the dead men on earth would be resurrected again, and this would take place on this earth, says verse (20:55) of the Quran. There is evidence to show the dead would be resurrected only on earth, and nothing that says they will be resurrected and taken above. Moreover the verses (18:47,48, 20:105-108, 39:68,69, 20:55, 7:25, 71:17,18, 30:25, 54:6,7,8) of the Quran declare clearly that the paradise yet to be created would be on earth. On analyzing and compiling the available evidences, we come to understand, after the destruction of the heavens, the earth, the paradise, the hell, and all that existed at the time, would be recreated as new, and that the dead would be resurrected in the earth, which would be much bigger in size with the paradise located in it. Though many have expressed their own opinions regarding paradise and hell, we do not find anything contrary to the thoughts expressed by us and hence we conclude our opinion aptly.

452. Why weren't the numbers mentioned accurately? 

While talking about the number of members in the community of Prophet Yunus the Almighty says in verse (37:147) ‘We sent him to a community of 100,000 or more’ instead of mentioning a definite number.

People who are bent on finding out mistakes in the Quran point out, quoting approximate numbers by humans is acceptable, but not by the Almighty.

But this question is meaningless. Because sending a messenger to a community is not a task that gets over in seconds, his task continues for years together. The population is bound to increase during the period.

At the time of sending Prophet Yunus to his community their population would have been around 100,000 and he still remains a prophet for the increased population.

If a person has been elected a president by a population of seven crores, he remains the same for the increased population of seven and half crores till the end of his term. 

When the thinking goes on these lines we will come to comprehend and appreciate the wonder in these phrases.

Had the Almighty quotes of having sent Prophet Yunus to a community of 100,000 people, then critics of the Quran would counter the phrase by asking a question, whether no one in the community of Prophet Yunus ever gave birth to babies. Hence, the phrase about the population of the community of Prophet Yunus is confirmed hereby to be the word of God Almighty.

451. The group is known as Yajooj Majooj. 

Verses 18:94, 21:96 of the Quran talk about a group known as Yajooj Majooj. 

These people would expose themselves at the time when the whole world is to be destroyed. And are known as Yajooj Majooj. And they exposing themselves is one of the ten signs of signalling the nearing of doomsday was declared by Prophet Muhammad. These people have existed in this world for a long time, in an area surrounded by high mountains. This area surrounded by mountains with gaps in between them being filled up with iron blocks and sealed with molten copper making it impossible for them to exit that place until the doomsday, when the barrier will be broken, and their numbers will be very enormous making it difficult for them to exit the place say verses 18:94-96 of the Quran. And verse 21:96 of the Quran says they will finally have the barriers broken; they will come as a flood of water does from a higher elevation.

This verse also declares the opening of these to let them out of their confinement, would happen on the close heels of the doomsday.

........ Allah will send the group known as Yajooj Majooj, the first of whom will drink water from the water reservoir known as Tabriya, and they will continue to descend from all high places on earth, at a time when Prophet Isa and his followers will be encircled by them, and the siege would continue till a time when the value of the head of a cattle would be equal to a hundred cold coins of the present day, and Prophet Isa would plead with the Almighty, when immediately all belonging to the Yajooj Majooj would fall dead. Prophet Isa and his followers on being freed from the clutches of the Yajooj Majooj would come down to the plains from the Tor mountains only to encounter a dirty unbearable stench of human corpses strewn all over the place without any gap between them. At such a situation Prophet Isa would again plead with the Almighty to relieve the world from the stench, when birds with long necks the like of a camel would descend to clear all the corpses of men belonging to Yajooj Majooj of the earth. And Allah would send down torrents of rain that would wash the houses whether they be tent or mud houses on earth immaculately clean like a glass. Then Allah would command, Oh! Earth let the fruits grow again and spread prosperity. At that time a single pomegranate would be enough to satiate the hunger of a huge crowd, the skin of the fruit would be large enough to provide shelter to a number of people. There would be blessings of Allah on milk and milk from a single female camel would suffice the needs of a big group of people. And milk from a single cow would be sufficient enough to fulfill the needs of people of a clan. Milk from a single goat would be enough to feed the entire family. At such a juncture clear air would be sent from above by Allah that would capture the lives of all Muslims, leaving alone only a few, and this is the time when the whole world gets to be destroyed, as conveyed by Prophet Muhammad. Book Muslim: 5629. 5629 

The location where they are being held in isolation is not disclosed either by the Almighty or Prohet Muhammad. This may be due to the fact their identity by people is necessary only close to doomsday.

Some question the ‘isolation of Yajooj Majooj by asking a question, at a modern time like the present with so many gadgets available would it not be possible to locate them? Or at least identify the copper wall by its brightness? This is an inappropriate question.

Though man has invented many modern gadgets, they have not been used to their full extent. Though man has taken pictures of the earth from high above, he has not taken pictures of each and every nook and corner of the world. This can be understood by going through details about certain places on earth being discovered recently. 

There are numerous locations on earth, man has yet to set his feet. Though man can investigate hidden objects from high above with the help of modern gadgets, it is not possible for him to accurately pinpoint everything on earth because of the forest cover, and various other factors.

Forest and caves on earth cannot be penetrated with the help of telescopic devices. 

And if the Yajooj Majooj happen to be located under the canopy of forests or caves no modern gadgets can locate them. 

The copper metal soon gets deposited with all kinds of vegetation like the algae etc. and turns green losing its luster. Giving an appearance green in color, whether seen from a distance or close quarters. 

Hence the existence of Yajooj Majooj on this earth invisible to anyone cannot be viewed with skepticism.

In the future man can be expected to encounter the group and the time may happen to be close to the doomsday.

450. Sister of Haroon. 

In this verse (19:28) of the Quran, Maryam has been cited as the sister of Haroon.

A few Christians bent upon finding mistakes for long, in the Quran quote this as an error in it by asking ‘how can Haroon belonging to the era of Prophet Moses be a sibling of Maryam’? And propaganda the same. This question arises out of sheer ignorance.

It is usual for people of the same name to have existed at different periods of time. Though a person known as Haroon lived at the time of Prophet Musa, it is not an impossible feat for a person to exist in the same name at the time before him. Hence the existence of persons of the same name at different periods of time is not something rare, nor is it questionable.

When questioned about this occurrence Prophet Muhammad replied by saying ‘it was normal for people to name their offspring after their virtuous ancestors’. (Book Muslim:4327)

Christians strongly refute this verse adamantly by saying had there been a person in the name of Haroon at the time of Maryam, it would have been disclosed in their scripture since there is no such disclosure, this verse of the Quran is an error.

Merely for the reason it is not mentioned in any of the Christian scriptures, this verse cannot be treated as an error in the Quran.

When we call a person as a sibling of shaitan it does not necessarily mean the shaitan and this person are born of the same mother. It would be merely understood as this person has qualities of the shaitan.

The responsibility of servicing the place of worship of Jews, was handed over to Leviticus, and teaching the ways to worship, was the task of Aaron known as Haroon respectively handed over by Jesus. Hence those who worked in places of worship were known as siblings of Haroon.

This can be found in Exodus 27:21, 28:41-43, and in all chapters of Exodus from the beginning to end, and in the first chapter of Leviticus.

Mary known as Maryam was dedicated to the task of maintaining the place of worship in spite of being a woman, and those in the service of the Saviour were expected by people to be better than others in morality and discipline Those people questioned her by asking ‘In spite of being in the service of the Saviour, and being the sibling of Haroon, you present yourself along with a child’.

Hence the address ‘Oh! Sibling of Haroon’ is not an error of history in the Quran, but in fact something not mentioned even in the Bible. 

This verse says people addressed as ‘Oh! Sibling of Haroon, your father was not an evil man, nor your mother an immoral person.

In this context the people addressed her need to be understood. 

The meaning of this verse is ‘Your father and your mother were good people and you are involved in carrying on the task of Haroon, but you are presenting yourself with a child without a father.

Maryam was dedicated as a votive offering before she was born, after her birth she was left at the place of worship in service of the Almighty. It was apt to call her the sibling of Haroon because of the duty she was performing and according to the Bible, and a fact not divulged by the Bible.

449. Is Mubahala allowed between Muslims.

When a dispute between two people arises to prove who is a liar in a certain matter, they are to assemble with their wives and children in a common place with individual prayers by them to the Almighty saying, Oh! Lord whatever I say here is the truth and if it happens to be a lie, let your wrath befall on me and my family. This is known as Mubahala encounter in Islam. 

Allah commands Prophet Muhammad to challenge the ‘People of the Book’ for a mubahala encounter, in this verse (3:61) of the Quran. 

Though this verse was addressed to ‘the ‘People of The Book’ it is directed towards all.

Most of the verses of the Quran are addressed towards a group of people, or an individual, this should not be treated as they are meant exclusively for the group or the individual, but for all those who are within its context. The community of prophet Lut was reprimanded for their indulgence in sodomy and lesbian sex, this should not be understood as applying only to community of Prophet Lut.

When identifying a liar needs to be solved if a certain matter finds no solution, leaving it to the creator is what is known as Mubahala. Prophet Muhammad challanged only the ‘people of the book’ for a mubahala and not muslims, hence some say a muslim should not challenge another fo a muslim. And they also argue a muslim should not wish the wrath of the Almighty on a another.

They are unaware of the existence of a law in Islam known Li’an law, found in verses 24:6-9 of the Quran.

Prophet Muhammad had recommended Li’an in disputes between the male and female comrades. Bukhari 4745, 5310, 5314, 5315, 5316, 6748, 6856

To identify and invoke the wrath of the Almighty on them can be done on the basis of these hadiths is proved hereby.       

When a man cannot fathom another person's mind the best alternative is to leave it to the Almighty to decide.

There is no evidence whatsoever available, that says not to invoke the wrath of Almighty on people who are liars.

Some people claim that invoking the wrath of Almighty on a fellow muslim is not endorsed by learned muslim scholars.

Ibn Tayammia has challenged name sake muslims following advaitha ideology for a mubahala encounter. Another scholar Hafiz Ibn Hajr encountered a mubahala challenge with the followers of Ibn Arabi.

Many scholars like Ibn Abbas, Sufyan Awri, Avsayee, Ibnul Qayyum challenged those with wrong ideology for mubahala, and have decreed such challenging is permitted in Islam. Hence the contention muslims cannot challenge other muslims and there is no precedent for such an act is false.

We need to consider another fact in such circumstances. 

When a person is blamed for a certain act, he can challenge the one who blamed him, or ignore him and is justified in doing so.

But there is no place in Islam for a person to challenge another for a mubahala to find an escape route, because if a person blames or accuses another, he is duty bound to prove it with evidence.

He (the one blames) cannot escape the punishment for slander in the disguise of a challenge for mubahala. On issues like correctness of a message, correctness of an ideology, one can challenge the other for a mubahala. 

One can challenge the person who accuses him personally or on the basis of an ideology. And the only duty of the person who accused or blamed is to prove the accusations without any doubt. The responsibility rests with the accuser.

No one should use mubahala as a ruse to get out of false accusations. 

In Islam the responsibility of proof rests with the accuser, and if not proven he is liable to undergo punishment for slander. And if the accusation is not proven, the accused is free to forgive the accuser. 

During the time of Prophet Muhammad those who could not prove their accusations were punished. 

And no one will be offered the luxury to escape after accusing somebody and challenging him for a mubahala. The moment one is unable to prove his accusations, and still keeps on insisting on a mubahala, makes a mockery of Islamic judicial system.

People who slander against others are required to prove their genuineness first on the basis of their belief in God. But if the one who accuses is not bound by any promises and duties, he can call for a mubahala and this is allowed.

448. The ones that follow Prophet Isa. 

Verse (3:55) of the Quran says ‘Allah will place those who follow Prophet Jesus on a higher footing.

This should not be misunderstood as referring to Christians. 

Because within a few years from the time Prophet Isa was taken into the heavens, the religion of Prophet Isa was interpreted as per his own understanding and completely by a person known as Paul. The ideology preached by Prophet Isa was changed to the concept of Trinity. People who are followers of this concept can never be true followers of Prophet Isa, because Prophet Isa is not in any way related to this ideology of Paul. 

Prophet Muhammad propagated the very same ideology of Prophet Isa. Islam is the way of life propagated by Prophet Isa. And people who follow the Islamic way of life are true followers of Prophet Isa.
