463. If Allah takes the responsibility of feeding people, why do deaths due to hunger result.

In the following (6:14, 6:151, 10:31, 11:6, 17:31, 22:58, 26:79, 27:64, 29:60, 30:40, 34:24, 35:3, 51:58, 62:11, 65:3, 67:21, 106:4) verses of the Quran, the Almighty declares He is responsible for feeding the people. Some people put out impertinent questions such as why do deaths due to hunger occur, if Allah is responsible for feeding all living organisms including men.

Do these people mean to say that no one should die because the Almighty has taken the responsibility of feeding people? The Almighty taking responsibility for feeding a man means He is in charge of that man’s food necessity for as long as he is alive. And it also means none other than the Almighty is capable of taking charge.

Not only food, all the other necessities that are required during his lifetime are guaranteed by the Lord for the entire lifetime destined by Him, is the message conveyed here. Allah has made it clear that all his blessings to man are time bound, This can be found in verses (6:2, 7:34, 10:49, 11:3, 16:61, 71:4) of the Quran.

The responsibility of the Almighty ceases with the end of the life of the person guaranteed, and stops on his death.

This does not apply only to his food but to all his needs in general. When it is said the Almighty is also responsible for the health, security, protection, of each person does not mean to sensible people that no one would become sick nor die.

462. Is it possible to sleep continuously for several years together?

These verses (18:11to18:18) of the Quran narrate a history of great wonder. Before the days of Prophet Muhammad a few youths belonging to a group, were very steadfast in their ideology of monotheism. They were despised for this reason by the other members of their community who tormented them very often, for their belief. They decided to migrate from their native place to hide in a cave away from their community. Allah made them take rest in the cave for a few hundred years, and woke them after the entire population of that particular generation of community perished.

Non–Muslims may be skeptical about this historical narration, whether it is possible for a person to sleep for years together.          But since they believe in the omnipotence of the great God they do not have issues with the sayings of the Quran.

And they believe whenever the Almighty speaks in the Quran, He does it with full conviction and certainty and with evidence embedded in it.

There is evidence regarding the above incident.

While talking about making them asleep, the Almighty not only says that ‘He made them sleep’ but also ‘We created a barrier for their ears’

Though this word usage can be found to refer to sleep, this was not so before the days of Prophet Muhammad.

The author of the book At-Tahrir-WA-Tanveer says this phrase (creating a barrier for their ears to make them asleep) was not in vogue before the days of Prophet Muhammad.

Now the question is why should a word or phrase not in vogue be used.

The eyes of a person stops functioning while asleep, but he wakes up at the slightest sound.

The sound of thunder and that of the wild animals would keep them awake for years, hence for them to remain sleeping for years together there is a need for a barrier for the sound not to reach their senses. Hence for them to remain sleeping for years together there is a need to stop all kinds of sounds reaching the ears of these people, this is what he Quran mentions in a phrase of the Quran, ‘We created a barrier for their ears’ a phrase not in vogue before the days of Prophet Muhammad.

Moreover this verse also says ‘When seen they will appear as they are awake and will be terrified to know they are alive. This cannot be taken as they are sleeping with their eyes wide open, though some people do it, and people seeing them would not take it as them being, as awake and neither will they be terrified at their appearance.

On the contrary it would appear as they were sleeping with their eyes blinking.

Why was the special attribute of sleeping with eyes blinking granted to them alone?

When a person keeps his eyes closed for a long period, his optical nerves get affected and contract, finally becoming useless rendering the person blind.

The sclera of the eye (the white of the eye) is kept moisturised by the tear glands, and if not done, the eye becomes dry leading to a condition known as Corneal-xerosis, ultimately resulting in blindness of the person.

In a nut-shell, if a person continuously keeps his eyes shut or open for years together, he becomes blind is a fact discovered by the scientists.

When a person lays flat on his back for several years together, he starts developing sores on his back, leaving him awake.

This is the reason the Almighty makes them flip from left to right and right to left while sleeping to avoid the consequences.

The Almighty says in the Quran, He made them sleep in spite of all the scientific discoveries that proves sleeping for years together is not possible.

Allah through this verse demonstrates, though the consequences of lying down for years have been proved, He still possesses the capacity to make something happen against all odds.

461. Are Suhuf and Kitab one and the same?

Scriptures are mentioned in the Quran either as Suhuf or Kitab. Though both these words refer only to the scriptures, some scholars make a differentiation between the two,

The scripture with a large volume is called the Kitab , and the one with small content as Suhuf.

There is no proof to substantiate this difference, can be seen from the verses (80:13, 98:2) of the Quran.

The scripture revealed to Prophet Muhammad known as the Quran is bigger in volume, though it is referred to as the Kitab in many places of the Quran, it is mentioned in these two verses (80:13, 98:2) of the Quran as Suhuf, lending credence to the the opinion, immaterial of the size, the Quran can also be referred to as Suhuf.

460. Are the Islamic years named after Hijirath.

Verses (2:218, 3:195, 4:89, 4:97, 4:100, 8:72, 8:74, 9:20, 9:100, 9:117, 16:41, 16:110, 22:58, 24:22, 29:26, 33:7, 33:50, 59:8, 59:9, 60:10) of the Quran talk about carrying out Hijirath.

The meaning of the word Hijirah is to stay aloof or dislike, or disregard. In Islamic parlance Hijirah refers to a particular sacrifice implying when there is no possibility of leading an Islamic way of life and safeguard one’s own Islamic ideology in his life, he must forsake all his riches, properties, people, kith and kin and move over to a place where he is free to practice his Islamic way of life.

The Hijiri or the Islamic era begins from the time Prophet Muhammad migrated from Makkah and moved to Madina.

Though Hijiri year has been designated as the beginning of the Islamic year, there is no proof of this declaration in the Quran or the hadiths

Prophet Muhammad did not declare to make a count of the Islamic year from the time of his departure from Makkah to Madina.

During the time of Prophet Muhammad, his comrades were seen keeping count of the year with Elephant year.

The Arabs named the year as the year of the elephant in which king Abraha and his army of elephants were decimated when they attempted to destroy Kaaba, and they marked the events of having taken place as before and after the elephant year.

Ibnu Abbas says Prophet Muhammad was born in the year of the elephant. (Haakim, Bazzar)

Had the same custom of following the elephant been continued it would have been considered appropriate.

Or considering the day the Quran was revealed (since that day is considered to be more special than a thousand months) as the beginning of the Islamic year would be much more appropriate.

During the reign of Umar (RA) it was discussed and decided to declare the starting of Hijarath by the great prophet as the starting of the Islamic calendar.

There is no harm in accepting this arrangement made on the basis of an administrative necessity.

Since Islam has been completely revealed with the demise of Prophet Muhammad, connecting any event after his demise would not augur well for Islam because for not being guided or approved by Him. There were no divine revealations after Prophet Muhammad, and anything not considered as divine revealations does not form part of Islam, and arguing to implement something not part of Islam is ignorance.

459. Is Jesus the son of God?

Verses (3:49, 3:59, 4:171, 4:172, 5:17, 5:72, 5:73, 5:116, 9:31, 19:30, 43:59, 43:64) of the Quran say Prophet Isa is not the son of God, but a prophet of the Almighty. The Quran does not accept the claim of Christians that Jesus is the son of God, or God himself.

Jesus never said he is God himself. He preached the creator should be worshipped, but people who came after him, concocted an ideology making him the son of God, is the stand of Islam.

The same opinion being stressed by the Bible could be found existing even today.

Exodus 20:3 “You shall have no other gods beforeme

Deuteronomy 4:35 You were shown these things so that you might know that the Lord is God; besides him there is no other.

6:4-6

4. Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.

5. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

6. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.

Isaiah 46:9 Remember the former things, those of long ago;

I am God, and there is no other;

John 17:3,4

3. Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

4. I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do.

Matthew 22:36-38

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

38 This is the first and greatest commandment.

Matthew 20:21 "What is it you want?” he asked.

She said, “Grant that one of these two sons of mine may sit at your right and the other at your left in your kingdom.”

Jesus did not reply to her by saying ‘I will fulfill your request’. But this was his answer to her:

Matthew 20:23 Jesus said to them, “You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father.”

Jesus mentioned himself very often as the son of man.

Refer :Matthew 8:20, 9:6, 9:8, 16:13, 17:22, 17:12, 17:9, 19:28, 20:18, 20:28, 24:27, 26:24, 26:45

The above cited verses of the Bible declare Jesus as the son of man.

Jesus has declared himself in some places of the Bible as the son of Lord alluding to one who acts as per the commands of the Almighty. And not one born to God, because not only Jesus, few others are also mentioned in the Bible as sons of the Lord. Those verses are also understood by Christians similarly.

Verses from Exodus 4:22,23 and Jeremiah 31:9 say Israel as the son of God.

The verse 2:7 of Psalm and 17:13 of First Chronicle talk of David as the son of God.

Verse 22:10 of Chronicle talks of Solomon as the son of God.

The verses 31:9 of Jeremiah talk of Ephraim and verse 7:14 of Samuel the second talk of Samuel as sons of God.

All men are referred to as sons of God. Refer :Deteromomy 14:1, Psalms 68:5, Matthew 6:14,15, Matthew 5:9, Matthew 5:45, Matthew 7:11, Matteww 23:9, John 1:12, Luke 6:35

Hence the ideology Jesus is the son of God is contrary to the preachings of the Bible.

The argument that Jesus was not born like other men to a human and was born to God, and is also a God himself is against the Bible.

The word Jesus was ‘born without a father’ divulges the fact that he was very well was given birth to. If due stress is given to the word ‘born without father’ will make Christians realize Jesus is not God. and the Bible clearly says Jesus was born to a mother.

And the Bible also mentions still more who were born without male counterparts.

Luke 3:38 talks of Adam being created without a father.

Also Genesis 2:21,22 talk of Eve being created without a father and a mother.

The verse Hebrews 7:3 talks of Melchizedek being created without a father and mother.

Similarly, just by performing miracles Jesus cannot be called as the son of God, there were many who performed greater miracles than Jesus could be found in the Bible.

In Elijah 17:22 of the first kings and in 4:34 and 13:21 of the second kings it is being said Elijajah brought to life a dead person.

And it can be seen in verses 17:13-16, 17:6, of the first kings and in 4:42-44, 4:2-6, 5:10, 5:14, 6:17, 6:20, 6:6, of the second kings and in Exodus 14:22 many have performed miracles

Jesus sometimes performed miracles with the permission of God, but was a human being all through. Any one going through the Bible can realize he remained with all human traits like, hunger, ignorance, getting cheated, senseless anger etc.

And Jesus himself has declared performing miracles is not a proof to declare one as the son of God.

Mattew 7:22,23

22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’

23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness

Mattew 7:24, 25

24. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25.Behold, I have told you before

Hence Jesus preached and practiced one ideology of Monotheism and there are no sons for God.

The priests in order to receive the same reverence as the Lord himself created an ideology as the father, the son and the holy spirit calling it Trinity by declaring, since the Holy Spirit has descended on them they are also God themselves.

Please refer point no 456 of this compilation to know about whether Jesus was crucified on the cross

And also refer to points 93, 101,133, 134, 151, 278, 342 to know whether Jesus is dead or raised above to descend on the final days of the world.

458. What is meant by adornment.

Veres (24:31, 33:59) of the Quran say women are not to expose their adornments except those apparent.

The original Arabic word we have translated into English is ‘Zeenath’.

The word adornment does not denote a naturally occurring beauty but is used to refer to beautification by externally added objects.

Acts like applying colors to lips, enhancing oneself with wearing jewelry, and applying make-up to the exposed parts of the body etc. under the category of adornment or ‘Zeenath’.

This means women other than those mentioned in this verse are not to appear adorning themselves in front of men.

Some misunderstand this verse as conveying, beauty should be concealed and not be exposed, and argue since face takes the first place in beautifying a women it needs to be concealed from the specific men, And they also argue even the hands and legs need to be covered from public gaze to since these parts are also beautiful.

Their argument is totally wrong.

The word ‘Zeenat’ is being found used in many parts of the Quran, when carefully analyzed it can be understood to mean referring to adornments and not body parts, without doubt.

We placed the stars in the sky, to look beautiful to those looking at them.

The Quran 15:16

We have adorned first heaven with stars.

The Quran 37:6

And He completed them as seven heavens within two days and inspired in each heaven its command. And we adorned the nearest heaven with lamps and as protection. This is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.

The Quran 41:12.

Have they not looked at the heaven above them – how We structured it and adorned it (how) it has no flaws.

The Quran 50:6

We have decorated the first heaven with lamps. We made them objects to be thrown at the Shaitans, and we have created for them the torments in hell.

The Quran 67:5

In the above verses of the Quran we find the Almighty talking about the stars as decorating the heavens.

The Almighty declares the stars as not part of the heavens but are objects that add glamour to the sky. He refers to this by using the word ‘Zeenat’ as an adornment.

We have made what (is) on the earth adornment for it, that We may test (them) which of them (is) best (in) deed.

The Quran 18:7

Allah refers to the vegetation on earth as an adornment to it (Earth) in this verse.

Oh! Children (of) Adam take your adornment to every place of worship and eat and drink but (do) not be extravagant. Indeed , He (does) not love the extravagant ones. The phrase 'take your adornment to every place of worship'' refers to the beauty of the body, and if that is the meaning alluded to, then people who are not beautiful visiting places of worship would be considered a crime. This verse points out about the clothing of persons to be neat and clean.

We have presented this explanation for people to understand the meaning of the word Zeenat from verse 24:31.

Women are prohibited from appearing in front of inappropriate men adorning lip colors, makeup, and jewelry, while they are allowed to do so in the case of people deemed appropriate in their normal looks, is the message conveyed in the above verse of the Quran.

In this verse of the Quran we do not find it saying anything about women having to conceal their face and their hands.

What does it mean by saying not to expose one’s adornment, except those that are apparent.

As we have already pointed out earlier, adornments in women include ornaments, talcum powders, lip colors, and also their dress. The dress worn by a person, man or woman is also an adornment, in this case if the term adornment is generally taken as to also mean the dress worn by men, it would translate to there is no need to wear clothes.

We can conceal or avoid all other adornments, but dresses as adornments cannot be abandoned at all, neither can dresses be concealed. If another dress is worn over the existing one, it also becomes another adornment.

An adornment known as dress remains always to be viewed by others. Hence it has been made clear in this phrase not to expose one’s adornments other than that are permitted.     The phrase ‘Not to expose one’s adornment except those that are apparent’, is used to drive home the message not to expose one’s self all their adornments to strangers.

We vouch for the authenticity of the direct meaning of the word ‘Zeenat’ based on the usage of the word in other places of the Quran.

To the question whether it is necessary to cover the faces and arms of women, we need not cite the above phrase as proof.

Women are not required to conceal their face and hands is the correct message. We have explained about the same in point no 472 of this compilation with adequate proof.

The reason why women are required to conceal their adornments, their face and some other parts of their body is clearly explained in point no 300 of this compilation.

457. Predictions about Prophet Muhammad in the Bible.

Verse 61:6 and 7:157 of the Quran talk of Prophet Isa having predicted the advent of a messenger of God after him by the name of ‘Ahmed’.

Though the last Prophet of the Almighty is widely known as Muhammad he was also called as Ahmed.

Prophet Muhammad has declared himself, that he is also known as Ahmed.

Book:Bukhari 3532, 4896

Despite the Christians churches having made various changes in the Bible, one could still find the predictions of Jesus Christ           about Prophet Muhammad and numerous other prophecies about Prophet Muhammad.

The Jews during the period of Prophet Muhammad, as proclaimed in their scriptures were waiting for the arrival of three people as per the following verses found in the Bible.

John 1:19,22

19 Now this was John’s testimony when the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was.

20 He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, “I am not the Messiah.”

21 They asked him, “Then who are you? Are you Elijah?”

He said, “I am not.”

“Are you the Prophet?”

He answered, “No.”

22 Finally they said, “Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”

John lived at the time of Jesus Christ and he was the one who baptised Jesus Christ. When he was involved in the task of reforming the people, the Jews questioned him as to whether he was a Jesus Christ or or Elijah, or a prophet, to which he replied in the negative.

The Jews of that period had knowledge about the advent and were expecting three people to reform the world; this was the reason they questioned John abbott he was one the three.           Jesus Christ also faced these questions, let’s look into his replies. Mattew 17:11-13

11 Jesus replied, “To be sure, Elijah comes and will restore all things.

12 But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.”

13 Then the disciples understood that he was talking to them about John the Baptist.

Jesus Christ identifies himself and the Jews raise a doubt with him about Elijah’s advent, Jesus replies by saying, ‘It is true Elijah would come, before my advent and reform the society. But he had already arrived, and he is John the Baptist, and the people without being aware he is Elijah have tormented him.         Since I have come after Elijah, I am Jesus, can be seen as said by Jesus in the above verse. Jesus conveys in this verse, that he is indeed Jesus, since his advent is after Eijah.

These details can be discerned by anyone going through them. Now the reason for John denying he is Elijah needs to be found out. This may be due to the torment subjected by those people.

Now let’s get back to the point.

Jews were expecting the advent of Elijah, and he had arrived and was known as John.

And close on his heels the jews were expecting Jesus Christ, and now that he has also arrived, the next expected was a prophet, and from the time of John till today, the only prophet to arrive was Prophet Muhammad.

Here it needs to be concluded, the Christians are refuting the Bible by not believing in Prophet Muhammad as prophesized in the Bible. This means the Christians are not accepting the words of the Bible, about a prophet yet to arrive.

The jews emigrated from Jerusalem and settled in Madina awaiting the arrival of the prophet based on this belief in the Bible, other than this there was no other reason for them to arrive at Madina. Likewise, there is mention of Prophet Muhammad in the Old Testament in many places. Let’s consider one here.

Moses assembles all the Israelites and advises them about things they are to implement and things and those to be avoided by them. And conveys them about the prophet yet to arrive amidst them.

Deuteronomy 18:15 The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him

Deuteronomy 18:17,18

17. And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.

 18. I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

These verses talk about a prophet like Musa in the future. The Jews believe these verses refer to Joshua who remained as a leader and guide to their community and while the Christians believe it to be a prophecy about Jesus Christ.

When each and every word of this verse about the prophecy is keenly observed it could be understood that they do not refer either to Joshua or Jesus Christ.

Before coming to a conclusion that it refers to a particular prophet, let’s make sure it does not refer either to Joshua or Jesus Christ

Moses conveys the message about the advent of a prophet amidst them, not to a few of the Israelites but to every one of them assembled by him there.

If the yet to arrive prophet was to come from amongst them, Moses would have mentioned it as from amongst them, on the contrary we find him saying as ‘from my brethren’ in Deuteronomy. Instead of saying the prophet would arise from amongst the people of Israelites, Moses says he would arise from his brethren, confirming he will not come from the Israelites.

When the words as said by the ‘Lord’ are keenly observed they appear to be on the same lines, conveying the message the prophet yet to arrive will come not from among the Israelites, but from among the brethren of the Israelite community. It is confirmed here without doubt, the arrival of a prophet will not be from amongst the Israelite community, but from the brotherhood community of Ishmaelites.

This cannot refer to Joshua because he belongs to the Israelites neither can this be taken as referring to Jesus since he is also from the Israelites.

Hence these words from the prophecy do not refer to both Joshua and Jesus, as they belong to Israelites.

In this verse about a yet to arrive prophet Moses talks of a prophet like himself and the Lord says of a prophet like Moses alluding to a prophet similar to Moses., not only in a comparison of prophetical duties but also in all other aspects as a prophet.

This comparison does not fit only into the likeness of Moses as a prophet but also into all aspects that a prophet should be involved in.

Prophets like Soloman, Ezikiel, Daniel and several others came after Moses and before Jesus. This comparison is quoted only as an example to show how the prophecy chain was prevalent and not to refer to Jesus Christ. And in case it is insisted that it refers to Jesus alone, it can be argued to refer to all the other prophets also.

And moreover many prophets have come after Moses and if it is taken as referring to all the prophets then the verse should have been mentioned as ‘many prophets like you’. But it is not mentioned so, and the verse says ‘A prophet like you’ specifically saying about a prophet like Moses doubtlessly. Jesus was not similar to Moses in all aspects.

Jesus was born in a special manner while Prophet Muhammad and Moses were normal in their birth.

While the Christians believed Jesus Christ lived an unmarried life, Prophet Muhammad and prophet Moses were married.

Jesus was not accepted by the people of his time while Prophet Moses and Prophet Muhammad were accepted and followed by people.

Jesus was not a ruler, while Prophet Muhammad and Prophet Musa were rulers.

It is still the belief of Christians that Jesus was resurrected after death, whereas Prophet Muhammad and Prophet Moses were not resurrected.

Criminal Justice laws were not revealed to Jesus, while Prophet Muhammad and Moses were revealed with such laws.

Hence the message a prophet like Moses refers only to Prophet Muhammad.

456. Was Prophet Isa crucified on the cross?

Verses (3:55, 4:156) of the Quran say Prophet Isa was not crucified on the cross.

There are lot of differences between Christians and Islam regarding Prophet Isa.

Islam accepts the claim Jews had plotted to murder Prophet Isa. But the Quran says the Jews killed another person in the place of Prophet Isa, while he was raised above into the heavens by the Almighty.

As per Islamic belief, every human is bound to face death one day and would be interred on earth, Prophet Isa would descend from the heavens (where he is alive till today) to die on earth, during the final days of the world.

Islam does not subscribe to the view; Prophet Isa was crucified and was resurrected after three days.

Even as per the narrations in the Bible there is much evidence to substantiate the Islamic belief on Prophet Isa.

The four (Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John) who had written the biography of Prophet Isa were not his disciples and were not witness to the crucifixion of Prophet Isa which they have mentioned in their writings.

Barnabas was a disciple of Jesus and witness to Jesus being captured and was present at the scene. The Gospel written by him conveys the incident like what Islam says and for this reason the Christian preachers deleted the Gospel from the Bible.

The reference to Barnabas in the Bible signifies his importance.

Refer Apostles 9:27, 11:21-26, 13:1,2, 13:7, 13:43, 13:44-47, 15:37, 15:38-41,

Galatians 2:1, 2:9,10

From the above verses it could be understood that even Paul could not refute the significance of Barnabas.

Barnabas who was equal or above Paul mentions the following regarding death at the cross:

215. When the soldiers with Judas drew near to the place where Jesus was, Jesus heard the approach of many people, therefore in fear he withdrew into the house. And the eleven were sleeping.

Then God, seeing the danger of his servant, commanded Gabriel, Michael, Rafael, and Uriel, his ministers, to take Jesus out of the world.

The holy angels came and took Jesus out by the window that looketh toward the South. They bare him and placed him in the third heaven in the company of angels blessing God for evermore.

216. Judas entered impetuously before all into the chamber whence Jesus had been taken up. And the disciples were sleeping. Whereupon the wonderful God acted wonderfully, insomuch that Judas was so changed in speech and in fact to be like Jesus that we believed him to be Jesus. And he, having awakened us, was seeking where the Master was. Whereupon we marveled, and answered: 'Thou, Lord, art our master; hast thou now forgotten us?'

And he, smiling, said: 'Now are ye foolish, that know not me to be Judas Iscariot!'

And as he was saying this the soldiers entered, and laid their hands upon Judas, because he was in every way like Jesus.

We, having heard Judas' saying, and seeing the multitude of soldiers, fled as beside ourselves.

And John, who was wrapped in a linen cloth, awoke and fled, and when a soldier seized him by the linen cloth he left the linen cloth and fled naked. For God heard the prayer of Jesus, and saved the eleven from evil.

217. The soldiers took Judas and bound him, not without derision. For he truthfully denied that he was Jesus; and the soldiers, mocking him, said: 'Sir, fear not, for we are come to make thee king of Israel, and we have bound thee because we know that thou dost refuse the kingdom.'

Judas answered: 'Now have ye lost your senses! Ye have come to take Jesus of Nazareth, with arms and lanterns as [against] a robber; and ye have bound me that have guided you, to make me king!'

This statement by Barnabas who was a direct witness to the incident is exactly what is narrated in the Quran.

Before being apprehended Jesus pleaded with the Almighty sobbing again and again.

His pleading:

Matthew 26:36-46

36. Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”

37. He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled.

38. Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

39. Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

40. Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter.

41. “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

42. He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may you be done.”

43. When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy.

44. So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.

45. Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour has come, and the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners.

46. Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!”

Mathew 26:37-39

37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

The rest of the Gospels say the same.

When Jesus pleaded with God with fear of death, there is no reason why the Almighty would not accept his prayer and save him.

And moreover the belief that Jesus died for the sins of others is against the ideology of the Bile itself.

Deuteronomy : 24:1616 Thefathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

Eziekel 18:2020 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Jeremiah 31:29,30

29 “In those days people will no longer say,

‘The parents have eaten sour grapes,

and the children’s teeth are set on edge.’

30 Instead, everyone will die for their own sin; whoever eats sour grapes—their own teeth will be set on edge.

When it is said in the Bible each soul should carry its own burden of sins committed by it, the message in the Bible that Jesus sacrificed himself for the sins of others is like refuting the Bible itself. Moreover it could be made out that Jesus preferred to escape from death, as can be seen in his prayers to the Almighty.

And Jesus did not voluntarily offer himself to be sacrificed, rather preferred to escape from death till he was betrayed by one of his own disciples.

They plotted to tactfully capture and kill Jesus.

Mathew 26:1-5

26:1 When Jesus had finished saying all these things, He told His disciples,

26:2 “You know that the Passover is two days away, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.”

26:3 At that time the chief priests and elders of the people assembled in the courtyard of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas,

26:4 and they conspired to arrest Jesus covertly and kill Him.

26:5 “But not during the feast,” they said, “or there may be a riot among the people.”

Mathew-12:14But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus. 15:Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Many followed him, and he healed all their sick, 16:warning them not to tell who he was

Mark-14:1 Now the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread were only two days away, and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for some sly way to arrest Jesus and kill him. "But not during the Feast," they said, "or the people may riot."

Luke-22:2and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for some way to get rid of Jesus, for they were afraid of the people.

Mark 14:44-46

44Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The one I kiss is the man; arrest him and lead him away under guard.”

45 Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, “Rabbi!” and kissed him.

46 The men seized Jesus and arrested him.

If the claim Jesus sacrificed himself for the sins committed by others is true, he should have sacrificed himself at the cross or he should have welcomed the decision of his enemies to eliminate him, but he ran away and hid himself from them. This is the reason one of his own disciples had to betray him. The need to betray happens only when one is living in hiding.

Hence it is confirmed that Jesus did not sacrifice himself for the sins committed by others as mentioned in the Bible.
