As-shams – the sun

As the first verse of the chapter mentions the word ‘As-shams’, it is named ‘As-shams’
In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent and the most Merciful.
1 .By the sun and its brightness.379
2 .And by the moon which follows it.379
3 .And by the day which displays it.379
4 .And by the night which covers it(self).379
5 .And by the heaven507 and by its arrangement.379
6 .And by the earth and by its expanse.379
7 .And by the soul and He who shaped it.379
8 .And inspired its good and the bad.
9 . The one, who purified it, has succeded.
10 .And the one, who spoiled it, has failed.
11 .The people of Tamud denied because of their transgression.
12 .The most wretched in it came forward.
13 .Allah’s messenger told them, “This is the camel of Allah. Allow it to drink the water.”
14 .They considered him a lie. They cut the veins of its leg. Their God sent down torment on them and levelled them(to the ground) because of their sins.
15 .And he did not fear the end.
