228. Brothers of Yusuf (pbuh)
Yusuf (pbuh) and his only brother, who were sons of Prophet Yaqub (pbuh), were begotten by Yaqub’s (pbuh) second wife. All other brothers who were sons of Prophet Yaqub (pbuh) were begotten by Yaqub (pbuh)’s first wife. That was why they prejudicially said:“Certainly Yusuf and his brother are dearer to our father than we are. .”(Refer Quran 12:7,8, 59, 77).
